We arrived in Almaty yesterday, and caught up on sleep. We will stay tonight before flying to Kustanai on Wed. The trip was long, but thankfully, uneventful, except for a 5 hour delay leaving Amsterdam. We were greeted at the airport by our coordinator's wife, Gulya, who drove us to the hotel and will be our host in Almaty today. The hotel is nice, and we are posting this message from the business center. It's definitely summertime here, with temps in the 90s. The driving is a little hair-raising, with lanes being wherever you direct your car, basically! We will see more of Almaty today.
